Chewy's best savings come from recurring orders, membership perks and bundle promotions. Here's what works as of September 2026:
As of September 2026, orders of $49 or more ship free, and orders below that pay a flat fee (currently about $4.95). First-time customers may see a lower free-shipping threshold. Chewy+ members get free standard shipping on every order.

Autoship is free and works separately:
| Autoship order | Savings |
|---|---|
| First Autoship order | 35% off eligible items, up to $20 |
| Following orders | 5% off select brands |
Autoship orders can be rescheduled, skipped or cancelled at any time, and Autoship customers get priority access to popular products. Prescription medications and vet diets can be added to Autoship once authorized.
Tip: set Autoship frequency based on how fast your pet actually goes through food, not the default. If you end up with extra, skip the next delivery rather than cancelling, so you keep your ongoing Autoship savings. Combining Autoship with Chewy+ gives you both the recurring discount and member rewards on the same order.
As of September 2026, Chewy doesn't offer a standing sitewide discount for military members, students, teachers or seniors. Occasional partner or limited-time offers may appear, but Autoship and Chewy+ are the reliable ways to save.
Chewy doesn't publish a formal price-match guarantee. Prices change frequently with promotions. If you find a lower price elsewhere or a price drops right after you order, you can ask customer service, but a match isn't guaranteed. Autoship pricing and the long return window reduce the risk of overpaying.
Chewy accepts major credit and debit cards, and accepted payment methods display at checkout. Chewy eGift cards can be applied to orders, and Chewy+ rewards are applied to future purchases.
Event names and timing vary by year.
Many Chewy offers apply automatically on the product or deals page without a code. Codes often exclude prescription items, vet diets and select brands, and many are limited to first orders or first Autoship orders. Most can't be combined with other promotions.
