2. Stack the military discount. Unlike many competitors, CubeSmart says its 5% military discount applies in addition to any other specials on the unit.
3. Book the free move-in truck. Many locations offer one, subject to availability, which can save a separate truck rental.
4. In NYC, use the free truck and driver. Participating New York City facilities include a truck and driver for up to two hours for new renters.
5. Pay AutoPay by bank account. ACH AutoPay has no convenience fee, while card AutoPay carries a 3% fee.
6. Use insurance you already have. Coverage is required, but if your homeowner's or renter's policy covers storage you may not need to buy SureSmart.
7. Reserve early for free. Reservations cost nothing, need no credit card and can be made up to 30 days in advance.
