How to save at Dell: the smartest ways

Dell stacks several savings layers: sale pricing, free rewards, member discounts and a price-match program. Used together, they can take a meaningful amount off a new laptop or monitor.

1. Join Dell Rewards before checkout. It is free, earns 3% back on purchases, and unlocks free expedited delivery on eligible items.
2. Watch for bonus rewards events. Dell periodically raises earning to as much as 9% on select categories, such as PC accessories.
3. Verify for a member discount. Students, teachers, military members, veterans and first responders can qualify for 10% off eligible products after verification.
4. Use the price-match program. If a listed competitor sells the same new PC, tablet or monitor for less, ask Dell to match it before you buy or within 30 days of your invoice.
5. Shop the Dell Outlet. Certified refurbished products are sold at lower prices than new models.
6. Buy during holiday sales. Dell runs its steepest discounts around Black Friday, Cyber Monday and back-to-school season.
7. Spend rewards before they expire. Dell Rewards earned in a given month expire on the last day of the sixth month after they were earned.

Shipping & delivery options

Every Dell.com order ships with free standard delivery, with no minimum purchase required, as of September 2026.

• Free expedited delivery: Dell Rewards members get upgraded expedited shipping on eligible PCs, electronics and accessories that ship within 24 hours. It applies in the continental U.S. and to credit card orders.
• Exclusions: Very large monitors, certain TVs, batteries and adapters are not eligible for expedited options, and Alaska, Hawaii and APO/FPO addresses are excluded.
• Split shipments: Computers and accessories can ship separately and arrive on different dates.
• Financing holds: Orders financed through Dell Financial Services may be held for verification, which can delay delivery.

Return & exchange policy

Dell gives you 30 days from the invoice date to start a return. Products should come back in as-new condition with the original packaging and documentation.

1. Go to Dell's order support page and enter your order number or service tag.
2. Select the option to return or replace items and verify your identity.
3. Receive a return authorization number and a printable shipping label.
4. Pack the item in its original packaging and ship it within 30 days of authorization.

Fees and refunds: Consumers buying for personal use, and anyone returning a defective product or an item shipped in error, get a free return label. Other approved returns can carry a restocking fee of 15% of the price paid. Refunds typically post to the original payment method 10 to 15 business days after Dell receives the return.

Not returnable: Gift cards, customized products, most non-Dell software, volume licenses, enterprise products and subscription services.

Dell Rewards explained

Dell Rewards is a single-tier, free loyalty program. You enroll by creating a Dell.com account and opting in.

• Earning: 3% back in Dell Rewards on eligible purchases, rising to as much as 9% during select bonus promotions.
• Cap: Earnings are capped per Dell fiscal year, which runs February through January.
• Expiration: Rewards expire on a first-in, first-out basis, on the last day of the sixth month after the month they were earned. January rewards, for example, expire July 31.
• Perks: Free expedited delivery on eligible products and access to member-only offers.
• Dell Pay Credit: Dell periodically offers bonus rewards for opening a Dell Pay Credit account, so check the Dell Rewards page for the current offer.

Student, military, teacher, senior & other discounts

Member discounts are limited to two eligible products per transaction and two transactions a year per account. They exclude limited-quantity deals, clearance, warranties, gift cards and some products, and they are valid only on Dell.com.

Price matching & price adjustments

Dell does price match in the U.S. The program covers new personal computers, tablets and monitors with matching key specifications, and runs for 30 days from your invoice date, both before and after purchase.

• Eligible retailers: Amazon, Apple, Best Buy, B&H Photo, HP, Lenovo, Micro Center, Newegg, Office Depot, Staples, Target and Walmart, among others on Dell's list.
• Limits: Price matches on personal computers are capped at 10% of the Dell price, with a limit of five items per customer.
• Not eligible: Warehouse club pricing, marketplace sellers, flash or clearance deals, rebate or coupon-based prices, customizable configurations and out-of-stock items.
• How to claim: Before buying, contact a Dell sales expert by chat or phone with the competitor link. After buying, submit a competitor pricing request through Dell's order support portal.

Payment options

Dell.com accepts major credit and debit cards and PayPal for most purchases. Dell Pay Credit, a credit account issued by Comenity Capital Bank, offers financing with deferred-interest promotions on qualifying purchases. Dell gift cards are also available. Businesses can use Dell Financial Services for leasing and payment plans.

When Dell has its biggest sales

• Black Friday and Cyber Monday (November): Dell's largest sale of the year, often with early deals starting before Thanksgiving.
