DreamHost Coupons & Promo Codes for October 2026

DreamHost shopping guide: how to save more

Guide last reviewed: September 2026

How to save at DreamHost: the smartest ways

1. Use the code on DreamHost's promo page. As of September 2026, the DreamHost promo page prints code WH-BF2025, which prices Web Hosting Launch at $1.99/mo for the first 4 years.
2. Compare 1-year and 4-year terms. The yearly Launch price is $2.89/mo; the 4-year promo is lower per month, but the full term is charged upfront.
3. Get a site built for free. Any web hosting plan qualifies for DreamHost's free 4-page website build, a limited-time offer.
4. Use the code shown in the offers above for Managed VPS. DreamHost shows Managed VPS Business at $13.75/mo for the first year with this code.
5. Register domains on sale. The domain deals page lists .com at $9.99 for the first year and some extensions from $0.99.
6. Take the free domain. Web hosting plans include a free domain for the first year.
7. Use free migration on DreamPress. DreamPress includes professional site migration.
8. Budget for renewal. Intro prices apply to the first term only, and renewals cost more.

Hosting plans & pricing: first term vs renewal

As of September 2026, DreamHost lists these web hosting prices:

Launch covers 25 websites, Growth 50 and Scale 100. DreamPress 1 managed WordPress hosting is $14.99/mo for the first year and renews at $19.99/mo, and Managed VPS Business is $13.75/mo for the first year and renews at $31.99/mo. Intro prices usually apply to the first term only, and renewals cost more, so compare the total cost over the years you expect to keep the site.

Refunds & money-back guarantee

DreamHost's knowledge base says you get a full refund on Web Hosting (shared hosting) fees if the plan is canceled within the first 30 days, and the same applies to DreamPress monthly hosting fees and Managed VPS fees. Unmanaged VPS and dedicated monthly plans are not refunded. Domain registrations are non-refundable, but the domain remains yours for the term purchased even if you close the account. DreamHost distinguishes between credits and refunds: cancelling a product while keeping the account active gives an account credit, while a refund only happens when the account is closed. See Refunds and Account Credits for details.

Free extras included

• Free domain for 1 year with web hosting, DreamPress and Managed VPS plans.
• Unlimited free SSL certificates.
• Email free for 3 months on web hosting plans.
• Daily automated backups and unmetered bandwidth.
• Free domain privacy protection on domains registered with DreamHost.
• Free 4-page website build with any web hosting plan (limited time).
• Professional site migration with DreamPress.

Longer terms, migrations & multi-site savings

DreamHost's steepest shared hosting discount is on the 4-year promo term, where the promotional rate is locked for the whole term. Because Launch already allows 25 websites, many owners of several small sites will not need a larger plan. If you are moving a WordPress site, DreamPress includes professional migration, which removes the cost of hiring someone to move it.

Student, nonprofit & other discounts

We did not find a student discount on DreamHost's official site as of September 2026. DreamHost has published nonprofit discount information in its help center in the past, but we could not confirm current terms, so contact DreamHost directly if you represent a nonprofit. The main savings are the printed promo codes, domain sales and the free website build.

Payment options

DreamHost's help center says new accounts must be opened with a credit card, although PayPal can be used to open new Web Hosting, DreamPress or email-only plans. Accepted cards are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Diners Club. Balances due can also be paid by electronic check (ACH), PayPal, or check or money order, while upfront payments such as domain registrations require a credit card.

When DreamHost has its biggest sales

DreamHost runs a promo page and a special offers page with limited-time deals, and its current web hosting code carries a Black Friday-style name, which suggests seasonal promotions. We could not confirm dates for future sales, so check the special offers page before buying and compare it with the current promo price.

How to use a DreamHost promo code

1. Open the DreamHost promo page or the plan page you want.
2. Select your plan and billing term; links on the promo page carry the code into signup.
3. At checkout, confirm that the promo code (for example WH-BF2025, or the code shown in the offers above for Managed VPS) is applied, or enter it in the promo code field.
4. Claim your free domain and review any add-ons.
5. Check the full-term total, taxes and renewal price before paying.

A final word on picking the right term. The 4-year promo gives the lowest monthly rate, but DreamHost charges the full term plus taxes at checkout, so the upfront bill is larger than a yearly plan. If you are testing a new idea, the yearly Launch plan at $2.89/mo keeps the first payment smaller, and the 30-day money-back guarantee still applies. If you already know the site will run for years, the longer promo term locks in the lower price for longer. Either way, note the renewal date in your calendar and review your plan, domain and email add-ons a few weeks before it arrives.
