Estée Lauder shopping guide: how to save more

How to save at Estée Lauder: the smartest ways

Estée Lauder is a prestige brand, so full-price items rarely drop much. The real savings come from gift-with-purchase offers, set-building discounts and the E-List loyalty program. These tactics worked as of September 2026:

1. Join the Estée E-List first. New members get 15% off one online order, which is the easiest discount to use on a first purchase.
2. Take advantage of the current gift with purchase. In September 2026, the homepage offered a free 6-piece gift, up to a $168 value, with any $50 purchase. That's the same amount that qualifies for free standard shipping.
3. Build your own skincare set. The custom set builder lets you build a skincare set and save 20%, a useful way to restock several products at once.
4. Check the Last Chance section. The Last Chance sale listed up to 40% off select favorites for a limited time.
5. Sample foundation before committing. Estée Lauder offered 2 deluxe Double Wear foundation samples for $15, followed by 15% off a full size, so you can find your shade with less risk.
6. Refer a friend. The refer-a-friend program advertises "Give $15, Get $15" on $75+ orders.
7. Collect free deluxe samples. E-List members receive free deluxe samples with purchases, and tiered sample offers appear at $75 and up.
8. Climb the E-List levels. Gold members unlock a 20% discount reward at 250 points and a full-size product reward at 450 points.

Shipping & delivery options

Estée Lauder's shipping page lists these U.S. options as of September 2026:

Place expedited orders by 2:00 p.m. EST for same-day processing. Expedited options do not deliver on weekends, and delivery windows can stretch during busy periods.

Return & exchange policy

Estée Lauder advertises free returns. You start a return through its online returns portal, which generates a QR code or a prepaid shipping label. Free returns are also listed as a benefit for E-List members. The shipping page we reviewed didn't state an exact return window or refund timeline, so check the terms in the returns portal before you send anything back. If your order included a free gift, keep it with the product in case it needs to be returned together.

Estée E-List rewards explained

The Estée E-List is free to join with an email address. You earn 1 point for every $1 spent on esteelauder.com. You can also earn points for chatting with a Beauty Advisor (once a month) and for product reviews (up to two a month and ten a year).

Add your birthday when you sign up so you receive the birthday surprise.

Student, military, teacher & other discounts

As of September 2026, Estée Lauder does not publish a student, military, teacher or healthcare discount on its site. Your best alternatives are the E-List sign-up offer (15% off one online order), the refer-a-friend credit and seasonal gift-with-purchase events.

Price matching & price adjustments

Estée Lauder doesn't publish a price-match or price-adjustment policy. The brand is also sold in department stores, and their gift-with-purchase events may differ from the brand site's. Compare the free gifts, not only the price, before you choose where to buy. For questions about a recent order, call 1-877-311-3883, text 1-646-846-1266 or use the live chat.

Payment options

Estée Lauder offers Afterpay, which lets you pay in 4 installments on orders of $35 or more. Gift cards are also available. Check checkout for the full list of accepted cards and wallets.

When Estée Lauder has its biggest sales

Estée Lauder runs several rotating promotions at once: gift-with-purchase offers, set-building savings and the Last Chance section. Historically, the biggest deal periods for prestige beauty are Black Friday and Cyber Monday in late November and the holiday gifting season, when value sets are released. Keep an eye on the homepage banner, because gift-with-purchase offers change often and usually run while supplies last. Joining the E-List also gets you early access to new products and events, so members often hear about new offers first.

How to use an Estée Lauder promo code

1. Sign in to your E-List account so member offers and points apply.
2. Add products to your bag and check that you meet any minimum, such as $50 for the current gift.
3. Enter your offer code in the promo code field at checkout and apply it. Check the offer terms to see whether a gift with purchase is added automatically.
4. Review the order summary to confirm the discount, free gift and shipping before you pay.
