Famous Footwear shopping guide: how to save more

Famous Footwear at a glance

Best ways to save at Famous Footwear

Most of the savings at Famous Footwear run through its free Famously YOU Rewards program, combined with sale and clearance sections that are updated often. As of September 2026, these are the most useful ways to save:

• Join Famously YOU Rewards. Membership is free and unlocks free standard shipping with no minimum, Reward Cash on every purchase and birthday rewards.
• Shop sale and clearance. The sale section currently highlights up to 30% off women's boots, and the clearance section advertises BOGO 1/2 off pricing.
• Watch bonus point events. Members can earn 2X points on all Timberland purchases from September 28 to October 12, 2026 when signed in at checkout.
• Sign up for emails. Famous Footwear sends a coupon to new email subscribers.
• Consider the store credit card. New cardholders get $10 off their first card purchase and earn an extra point per dollar.

Shipping

Standard shipping is free for Famously YOU Rewards members with no minimum when they are signed in at checkout and shipping within the contiguous US. Non-members pay a flat $9.95 for standard shipping, which takes 3 to 5 business days and is not available to Alaska or Hawaii. Expedited shipping (2 to 3 business days) costs $17.95 for the first pair plus $3.00 for each additional pair, and rush shipping (1 to 2 business days) costs $22.95 for the first pair plus $3.00 for each additional pair. Expedited and rush orders placed before 11 AM CT Monday through Friday ship the same day. You can also choose free store pickup, and members in select cities can get free next-day delivery powered by DoorDash on eligible online orders.

Returns

Famous Footwear does not list a fixed return deadline and invites customers to come back at any time for returns of unworn shoes. Returns in store are free and do not require a receipt. Returns by mail are accepted, but a $9.95 processing fee is taken out of the refund. The company reserves the right to limit or deny returns or exchanges, receipt or not, so keep your receipt and try shoes on indoors first.

Rewards program

Famously YOU Rewards is free to join and has two tiers:

• STAR: You start here and earn 1 point per $1 spent. You get $5 Birthday Reward Cash plus 2X points on all purchases during your birthday month.
• SUPERSTAR: Reached by spending $200 in a year. You earn 1.5 points per $1, get $10 Birthday Cash and an extra 3X Bonus Points Day.

Every 100 points converts into $5 Reward Cash, which can be used on any shoes and combined with coupons and sales. Members also get free shipping with no minimum, an extra BOGO 1/2 off offer each year, bonus points for writing product reviews and access to free next-day delivery in select cities.

Special discounts

Famous Footwear does not list a student, military, teacher or first responder discount on its site as of September 2026. The rewards program, email coupon and credit card offer are the main ways to get extra savings on top of sale prices.

Price match

No price match policy is published on famousfootwear.com as of September 2026. Check the exclusions page before you shop, since some brands and styles are left out of coupons and promotions.

Payment options

Famous Footwear accepts a wide range of payment methods. Buy now, pay later options include Klarna and Zip (split into four payments) and Afterpay through Cash App. PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Venmo are also accepted, along with physical and digital gift cards. The Famously YOU Rewards Credit Card earns an extra point per dollar and gives new cardholders $10 off their first card purchase, subject to credit approval.

Sale calendar

Famous Footwear runs frequent promotions tied to the seasons, such as boot sales in the fall and back-to-school events in late summer, along with brand-focused bonus point events like the Timberland 2X points offer. BOGO 1/2 off pricing appears across the site, and members get an extra BOGO offer each year. The sale and clearance sections are updated regularly, so check them before paying full price.

Tips for saving on shoes

• Sign in before you shop. Free shipping and bonus points only apply to members who are signed in at checkout.
• Stack Reward Cash with sales. Reward Cash can be combined with coupons and sale prices, so save it for a sale or clearance purchase to stretch it further.
• Use your birthday month. Double points and Birthday Reward Cash make your birthday month a good time for a bigger purchase, such as back-to-school shoes for the family.
• Pick up in store. If you are not a member yet, free store pickup avoids the $9.95 shipping fee and makes returns free and easy.
• Buy pairs together. With BOGO 1/2 off pricing, buying two pairs at once, such as kids shoes in two sizes, gives the biggest discount.

How to use a Famous Footwear promo code

• Join Famously YOU Rewards or sign in to your account so free shipping and points apply.
• Add your shoes to the cart and check the exclusions page, since many brands are excluded from coupons.
• Enter your coupon code, such as the one from your email signup, in the promo code field at checkout.
• Apply any available Reward Cash, which can be combined with coupons and sales.
• Confirm the discount in your order summary before you pay; only one coupon can usually be used per order.
