MyMcDonald’s Rewards is free and built into the app. You earn 100 points for every $1 spent on eligible items, whether you use Mobile Order and Pay, scan your code at the counter, or give your 4-digit code at the drive-thru. You can start redeeming once you reach 1,500 points.

A few rules are worth knowing. Points expire on the first day of the month after the sixth month from when you earned them, so do not hoard them indefinitely. You can redeem only one reward per order. Taxes, fees and gift card loads do not earn points, and orders placed through third-party delivery apps do not earn points, while McDelivery orders placed in the McDonald’s app do. The app has also offered 1,500 bonus points on your first payment with a newly linked card.
Open the app with location services turned on and tap Deals. You can add a deal to a Mobile Order, or select it for in-restaurant use and scan the QR code, which stays active for 15 minutes. If the code will not scan, the crew can enter the 4-digit code instead. You can redeem only one deal per person, per visit, and after using a deal, other deals are unavailable for 60 minutes. Many deals exclude delivery, and participation varies by restaurant.
McDelivery is available through the McDonald’s app and through third-party delivery partners. Ordering McDelivery in the McDonald’s app lets you earn rewards points, which third-party apps do not. Keep in mind that menu prices and fees for delivery can be higher than in the restaurant, and most app deals exclude delivery orders.
