Nike Coupons & Promo Codes for October 2026

Nike shopping guide: how to save more

Guide last reviewed: September 2026

How to save at Nike: the smartest ways

Nike rarely discounts its newest releases, so savings come from membership perks, verified-group discounts, the sale section and smart timing. The most reliable tactics as of September 2026:

1. Become a Nike Member before you buy. Membership is free and cuts the free shipping threshold from $75 to $50, drops standard shipping on smaller orders to $5 and makes returns free.
2. Sign in at checkout. Member shipping rates only apply when you're signed in, so don't check out as a guest by accident.
3. Verify for the 10% discount if you qualify. Students, teachers, military members, first responders and medical professionals can get a single-use 10% code every seven days through SheerID.
4. Use the price adjustment policy. If an item you bought on Nike.com or the Nike App drops in price within 14 days due to an eligible sale, members can request the difference.
5. Browse the Sale section by size first. Filtering to your size saves time, because popular sizes sell out quickly on markdowns.
6. Use free in-store pickup. Eligible orders can be picked up for free at participating Nike stores, often within two hours.
7. Take advantage of the 60-day wear test. Members can try shoes and gear for 60 days and return them if they don't work out, which lowers the risk of buying full price.
8. Watch the Nike App. Member-exclusive products, offers and early access tend to show up in the app first.
9. Buy last season's colorways. Older colorways of core models are regularly marked down when new versions launch.

Shipping & delivery options

Shipping fees are calculated after discounts and before tax, so a promo code can push your order below the free shipping threshold. Nike does not ship to PO boxes. Orders to APO/FPO addresses ship free via USPS military mail, though delivery can take 30 to 45 days.

Pickup: Free same-day in-store pickup is available for eligible orders at participating Nike stores. You can also ship to a pickup location, but standard shipping fees apply.

Return & exchange policy

You can return or exchange most items within 60 days of online order delivery or a Nike store purchase. Returns are free for Nike Members, who can also return or exchange without a receipt in store or through the Nike App.

• How to return: Start a return from your order in the Nike App or on Nike.com, or bring the item to a Nike store.
• Final sale: Purchases from Nike Clearance stores cannot be returned or exchanged.
• Other exceptions: Custom soccer jerseys can't be returned, and some items, such as Nike x LEGO sets, must be sealed and unopened.
• Guests: Check your order's return instructions, since free returns are listed as a member benefit.

The full, current terms are on the Nike returns policy page.

Nike Membership explained

Nike doesn't run a points program. Instead, its free Nike Membership unlocks perks:

• Free standard shipping on orders of $50 or more.
• A 60-day wear test and free returns, plus receipt-free returns in store or in the app.
• Member-exclusive products and access to product drops through SNKRS.
• Member-only events and advice from Nike Experts.
• Access to the Nike App, Nike Run Club and Nike Training Club, plus Nike By You customization.

Nike's site also references member birthday offer terms, so check the app around your birthday. There is no Nike-branded credit card.

Student, military, teacher, senior & other discounts

Nike offers 10% off most items for verified U.S. groups, all through SheerID:

• Students: High school, college and university students aged 16 or older.
• Teachers: K-12 and university teachers, faculty and administrators.
• Military: Eligible U.S. military members (verification required).
• First responders and medical professionals.

Each verification produces a single-use code that expires two weeks after it's issued, and you can get a new one every seven days. The discount applies to the first $500 of a qualified purchase, works only on Nike.com and in the Nike App, and excludes Nike By You, gift cards and select SNKRS launches. Nike does not advertise a senior discount.

Price matching & price adjustments

Nike does not match competitors' prices. Nike Members can request one price adjustment per item if the same product (same style, color and size) drops in price on Nike.com or the Nike App within 14 days of purchase due to an eligible promotion. BOGO and sitewide promotions, final sale items, Nike By You products, backorders and SNKRS purchases are excluded, and refunds go to the original payment method.

Payment options

Nike accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, plus PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Klarna is available for buy now, pay later. You can also use Nike and Converse gift cards and prepaid card-brand gift cards; a Nike gift card can be combined with one credit or debit card per order.

When Nike has its biggest sales

• End-of-season sales (winter and summer): Nike clears previous-season styles as new collections arrive.
• Memorial Day and Labor Day: Holiday weekends often bring extra markdowns on sale items.
• Back-to-school (July–August): Sneakers, backpacks and athletic wear for students.
• Black Friday and Cyber Monday (late November): Typically Nike's biggest discount window of the year.

Timing and discounts vary each year, so treat these as typical windows rather than guaranteed dates.

How to use a Nike promo code

1. Sign in to your Nike Member account on Nike.com or in the Nike App.
2. Add items to your bag and open it.
3. Select "Do you have a promo code?" and enter the code.
4. Click Apply and confirm the discount before placing your order.

Usually only one promo code can be used per order. Common exclusions include SNKRS launches, Nike By You, gift cards, select new releases and some Jordan styles. Verified-group discount codes can't be used in Nike stores.
