How to save at Purple: the smartest ways

1. Start with the current sale. As of September 2026 the Purple sale takes up to $300 off the PurpleFlex mattress ($150 on Twin XL, $200 on Twin/King, $300 on Full/Queen/Split King) and $300 off the PurpleRenew mattress, valid through September 29, 2026.
2. Bundle your bedding. Featured bundles are 15% off, for example SoftStretch sheets with two Harmony pillows, and 10% off combinations like sheets with a waterproof mattress protector.
3. Buy in pairs. The mix-and-match offer takes 10% off when you buy two select pillows or two SoftStretch sheet sets in the same order.
4. Sign up for email before your first mattress. Purple offers a $200 instant gift credit toward accessories with a select first mattress purchase when you sign up for email updates. It excludes the PurpleFlex mattress.
5. Verify for 10% off. Military families, healthcare professionals, first responders, educators and truckers can get a single-use 10% code after verifying through SheerID. See the discount programs page.
6. Pick the bigger discount. Sale offers and verified-group codes cannot be combined, so work out which saves more on your cart.
7. Use HSA/FSA money. Purple says eligible products can be bought with pre-tax HSA/FSA funds through its partner Truemed, and it estimates an average saving of 30% from using pre-tax money.
8. Time your purchase. Sale discounts do not apply to previous or pending orders, so buy during an event rather than before one.

Shipping & delivery

As of September 2026, Purple says it ships mattresses "straight to you at no extra cost," and complimentary in-home setup is available for select mattresses. Delivery times depend on the product and your address, so check at checkout for the estimate and whether setup is included for your mattress. Sale and discount terms note that codes apply to merchandise only and not to shipping, handling, taxes or packaging.

Return & exchange policy

Purple mattresses come with a 100-night trial. You have 100 calendar days from delivery to return a mattress, but Purple asks you to sleep on it for at least 21 days first. Full terms are on the Returns & Exchanges page.

• Mattresses: must be clean and undamaged with the law tag attached, and photos are required. Purple arranges pickup. The refund is the product price minus the value of any discount, interest accrued and transportation charges.
• Mattress exchanges: one exchange is allowed within 100 days. The trial continues from the first delivery date, or 30 days from the second delivery, whichever is later.
• Pillows: 30 calendar days from delivery; must be clean and undamaged. No exchanges; return and buy again instead.
• Seat cushions and bedding: 30 calendar days from delivery. The customer pays return shipping on bedding.
• Bed frames: no returns or exchanges. Squishy and Freeform Extra Fill are also excluded.

Purple mattresses also carry a 10-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Rewards & membership

As of September 2026 we did not find a points-based rewards program on Purple's site. Purple's own support center says it "often" has promotions, and it points shoppers to its website and email updates. The email sign-up is the most useful: new subscribers get a $200 instant gift credit toward accessories with a select first mattress purchase (PurpleFlex excluded).

Student, military, teacher & other discounts

Purple has five verified discount programs, each worth 10% off. You verify through SheerID, which is usually instant or takes up to about 20 minutes by email, and then get a single-use promo code:

• Military: active and reservist military, veterans, retirees, military spouses and registered dependents (military discount).
• Healthcare professionals: doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, physical therapists, paramedics and many more roles (healthcare discount).
• First responders: law enforcement, EMTs, paramedics and firefighters (first responder discount).
• Education and truckers programs are also listed on the discounts page.

These codes cannot be combined with other offers, apply to merchandise only, and cannot be used on orders you have already placed.

Price matching & price adjustments

We found no price-match policy on Purple's official site. Current sale terms say offers are not valid on previous purchases or pending orders, and the verified-group discounts are not retroactive either. The sale terms also say you cannot return an item that is still in its 100-night trial in order to buy it again with a coupon. Your best protection is to buy during a sale event.

Payment options

Purple offers financing through Affirm, advertised at 0% APR on orders of $50 or more, subject to approval. HSA/FSA cards can be used on eligible products through Truemed. When Purple has its biggest sales

Purple's site has sale pages for Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day and Black Friday, which shows how closely its biggest discounts follow the US holiday calendar. Between those events it also runs shorter sales, like the one live through September 29, 2026. These usually take dollars off mattresses and a percentage off bundles, and discounts apply automatically at checkout. Signing up for email updates is the simplest way to hear when the next one starts.

How to use a Purple promo code

1. Get your code first. For verified discounts, complete SheerID verification and wait for the single-use code by email.
2. Add your items to the cart on purple.com and go to checkout.
3. Enter the code in the promo code field and apply it before paying.
4. Remember that sale discounts are applied automatically and cannot be combined with a verified-group code. Use whichever gives the lower total.
5. If you are buying in a Purple store, bring valid ID for military and similar discounts, since stores may ask for it.
