Skechers shopping guide: how to save more

Guide last reviewed: September 2026

How to save at Skechers: the smartest ways

Skechers rewards logged-in members far more than guest shoppers. These are the most effective ways to cut the price of your next pair:

1. Join Skechers Plus first. It is free, and as of September 2026 new members get 1,000 points, which is worth a $5 reward certificate.
2. Always check out signed in. Members get free standard shipping on every order, while guests pay an $8.50 flat fee on orders under $99.
3. Verify your status with ID.me. Eligible military members, first responders, students, teachers and healthcare workers get an extra 10% off online.
4. Climb the tiers. Reaching Silver ($175 spent in a year) or Gold ($350) triggers 1,000 bonus points at each level.
5. Shop your birthday month. Skechers promotes double points for members during their birthday month.
6. Watch member-only sales. Member Appreciation Month has offered extra percentage-off deals to logged-in Skechers Plus members, online only.
7. Consider in-store pickup. Skechers has run extra discounts on buy online, pick up in store orders; check the shipping page for the current offer.
8. Browse the Sale and clearance section. Past-season colors are often marked down well below regular price.

Shipping & delivery options

Skechers Plus members get free standard shipping on all orders with no quantity limits. Guests get free standard shipping on orders over $99 and pay an $8.50 flat fee on smaller orders, as of September 2026.

• Standard shipping: Ships to all 50 states, P.O. boxes, APO/FPO addresses and US territories.
• Express shipping: $19.95 flat rate. Not available to P.O. boxes, APO/FPO or territories, and it may not appear when standard shipping is just as fast.
• Buy online, pick up in store: Available at participating Skechers stores.

Skechers notes that shipping costs are non-refundable, so joining the free program before checkout is the easiest way to avoid them.

Return & exchange policy

The standard Skechers return window is 45 days, and Skechers Plus members get an extended 90-day window plus free returns. Items should be unworn and in their original packaging.

• Online orders: Can be returned by mail or at a Skechers company-owned store. Guest shoppers may have a return shipping fee deducted from their refund, so check your return label terms.
• Refunds: Generally go back to the original payment method. Gift card and gift receipt returns are typically issued as store credit.
• Exchanges: Easiest in store. For online orders, return the original pair and place a new order.
• Third-party retailers: Shoes bought from other stores must go back to that retailer.

Skechers Plus rewards explained

Skechers Plus is the brand's free loyalty program. You earn points on purchases at Skechers stores, skechers.com and in the app, plus points for activities such as polls and surveys.

Points are redeemed in 1,000-point increments for $5 reward certificates, usable online, in the app or in stores. All members also get free standard shipping, free returns, the extended 90-day return window and birthday perks. Skechers does not advertise a store credit card as of September 2026.

Student, military, teacher, senior & other discounts

Skechers offers an extra 10% off to verified community groups through ID.me:

• Military: active duty, retired, veterans, spouses and dependents
• First responders: police, firefighters, EMTs and 911 dispatchers
• Students 18+ enrolled at accredited US schools
• Teachers, principals and professors
• Healthcare workers, including nurses, doctors, dentists, pharmacists and therapists

The discount is valid online only at skechers.com, not in stores. It excludes select accessories, gift cards, test styles and prior purchases, and it cannot be combined with other stackable offers. No dedicated senior discount is published.

Price matching & price adjustments

Skechers does not publish a price-match or price-adjustment policy as of September 2026. If a style drops in price shortly after you buy it, the practical route is to return the unworn pair within your return window and repurchase it at the lower price.

Payment options

• Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express
• Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal
• Buy now, pay later with Afterpay and Klarna
• Skechers gift cards

Skechers.com does not accept cards issued by banks outside the United States. A gift card or prepaid card must cover the full order amount because split card payments are not accepted.

When Skechers has its biggest sales

• Back-to-school (July to August): Kids' shoes and sneakers are a common focus.
• Member Appreciation Month (fall): In 2026 it runs with rotating member-only offers through October 31.
• Black Friday and Cyber Monday: Typically the deepest sitewide promotions of the year.
• End-of-season clearance: Look for markdowns after the holidays and at the end of summer.

Timing varies from year to year, so treat these windows as typical rather than guaranteed.
