The North Face shopping guide: how to save more

How to save at The North Face: the smartest ways

The North Face makes outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment, from insulated jackets and fleece to backpacks, tents and hiking boots. Its gear is built to last and priced accordingly, so these tactics make a real difference.

1. Shop the current sale. As of September 2026, the End of Summer Sale offers up to 30% off select women's, men's, kids' and footwear styles. It is online only and for a limited time, while supplies last.
2. Join XPLR Pass before you buy. Membership is free, new members get 15% off their first purchase, and every order ships free.
3. Verify your student or teacher status. Students at US colleges and universities, and K-12 and college teachers and staff, get 20% off through SheerID.
4. Use the military discount. Active duty, reservists, veterans, retirees and spouses and dependents of active personnel get 10% off, including at outlets.
5. Re-verify every 30 days. Group discount codes are single use, but you can get a new one every 30 days, so plan bigger purchases around that timing.
6. Collect XPLR Pass rewards. You earn 1 point per $1, and 100 points turn into a $10 reward, which works out to about 10% back.
7. Add your birthday to your profile. XPLR Pass members get a birthday surprise during their birthday month.
8. Pick up in store for free. Ship-to-store is free, and buy online, pick up in store is often ready within a few hours.
9. Look at used gear. The North Face Renewed is the brand's resale site for used gear, with a trade-in program.
