How to save at Vans: the smartest ways

1. Check the offers page before you buy. Vans lists every live promotion with its dates on its offers and promotions page. As of September 2026, it shows 30% off markdowns, socks and men’s and women’s fleece from September 22 to 27, 2026.
2. Join Vans Family for free shipping at $50. Members get free standard shipping on orders of $50 or more, versus $99 for guests. Membership is free.
3. Earn and redeem points. Vans Family members earn 10 points for every dollar spent on vans.com and in stores. Every 500 points is worth $5 off, up to a $20 reward at 2,000 points.
4. Sign up for emails. New subscribers get 10% off their first purchase. It is a one-time offer, so save it for a full-price item not covered by a current sale.
5. Verify as a student. Students get 15% off their entire purchase after verifying through SheerID.
6. Shop Last Chance items. Final-sale Last Chance styles are up to 60% off, but they cannot be returned, so be sure of your size.
7. Browse the sale section. The Vans homepage promotes up to 50% off sale styles on shoes, clothing and accessories.
8. Know the exclusions. Vans offers generally exclude Off The Wall (OTW) and premium merchandise, final-sale items, gift cards and custom products, and they cannot be combined with each other.

Shipping & delivery options

As of September 2026, Vans offers these ways to get your order:

• Home delivery: free standard shipping on orders of $50+ for Vans Family members and $99+ for guests.
• Expedited home delivery: available at checkout for an added fee.
• Same-day in-store pickup: for items in stock at a nearby Vans store.

Return & exchange policy

Vans accepts returns online and in store, and it offers exchanges. The Vans returns page covers the return policy, how to get a return label, how to return online or in a store, exchanges and refund timing. We could not confirm the exact return window during our review, so check that page or your order confirmation before your deadline. Final-sale items, including Last Chance styles, cannot be returned. Custom shoes are excluded from promotions, so check their return terms on the returns page before designing a pair.

If you are between sizes, consider buying a full-price pair where returns are allowed rather than a final-sale pair.

Vans Family explained

Vans Family is the brand’s free loyalty program. As of September 2026, the Vans Family page says members:

• Earn 10 points for every dollar spent on vans.com and in stores.
• Redeem 500 points for $5, 1,000 for $10, 1,500 for $15 or 2,000 for $20.
• Get free standard shipping on orders of $50 or more.
• Receive Family-only discounts and access to product and brand experiences, including sweepstakes.

Online, you choose your reward amount at checkout; in store, give the associate your email or phone number (a minimum balance of 500 points is required). The reward cannot be more than the transaction amount. In practice, 10 points per dollar means every $100 you spend earns $10 in rewards, a solid 10% back.

Student, military, teacher & other discounts

Vans offers students 15% off their entire purchase after verification through SheerID. We did not find a military, teacher or healthcare discount listed on the Vans offers page during our September 2026 review. If you are in one of those groups, check the offers page again, since programs can change.

Price matching & price adjustments

Vans does not publish a price match or price adjustment policy. If an item you bought goes on sale, check the returns page to see whether it is still within the return window, then return it and reorder at the new price. This does not work for final-sale items.

Payment options

The accepted payment methods are listed at checkout. Vans also lets Vans Family members redeem reward points as a discount on their order. Vans gift cards can also be used, though gift card purchases are excluded from promotions. If you have both a reward and a promo code, apply the code first and then choose the reward, since the reward cannot exceed the order total.

When Vans has its biggest sales

• Weekly and seasonal promotions: like the 30% off markdowns, socks and fleece event running September 22 to 27, 2026, and $50 women’s denim from September 17 to 27, 2026.

How to use a Vans promo code

1. Sign in to your Vans Family account so free shipping at $50+ and points apply.
2. Add items to your cart and go to checkout.
3. Enter your code, such as your email sign-up code or student code, in the promo code field and apply it.
4. Choose any Vans Family reward you want to redeem, then confirm your total before paying.

Some promotions may show the discount on eligible items without a code, so check the offer terms. If a code fails, check the exclusions on the offers page: OTW, premium, final-sale and custom products are commonly excluded.
