West Elm Coupons & Promo Codes for October 2026

West Elm shopping guide: how to save more

Guide last reviewed: September 2026

How to save at West Elm: the smartest ways

1. Start in sale and clearance. As of September 2026, the West Elm sale lists up to 60% off across furniture, outdoor, rugs, bedding, bath, lighting and decor.
2. Browse the outlet sections. Open Box Outlet, Furniture Outlet and Lighting Outlet deals can knock a lot off pieces that would otherwise be full price.
3. Use the under-$20 shops. "Deals Under $20" and "Clearance Under $20" are ideal for gifts, frames, candles and kitchen accessories.
4. Pick free-shipping items. Select products ship free; choosing them over comparable items can save you on smaller orders.
5. Join The Key Rewards. It is free and earns 2% back at West Elm and seven sister brands, including Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma.
6. Open the Key Rewards Visa before a big purchase. Cardmembers earn 10% back for the first 30 days, then 5% back, and can get 0% promo financing on purchases of $750 or more.
7. Sign up for emails and texts. West Elm sends sale and new-arrival alerts to subscribers.
8. Buy for your business through West Elm Trade. Designers and businesses can apply for trade pricing and support.

Shipping & delivery options

Select West Elm products are marked for free shipping. For other items, shipping costs are calculated in your cart based on what you buy and where it is going, so review the total before you place your order. Furniture is delivered separately from small parcels, and lead times can vary a lot between in-stock pieces and made-to-order upholstery. Check the estimated delivery date on each product page, and see the shipping information page for holiday deadlines and delivery details. West Elm also serves international customers through a dedicated international orders page.

• Combine furniture into one order when possible.
• Order holiday gifts early to avoid paying for faster shipping.
• Confirm delivery fees at checkout, since they depend on item and ZIP code.

Return & exchange policy

West Elm lets you start a return online through its returns and exchanges page. As with its sister brands, return shipping costs may apply depending on the reason for the return, and rules can differ for furniture, personalized and made-to-order items. Check the window and eligibility for your specific item before ordering, especially for large furniture and custom upholstery.

To keep returns simple, measure doorways, stairwells and the room before ordering furniture, order fabric or rug swatches when they are offered, and keep your packing materials and order confirmation until you are sure the item is staying. If something arrives damaged, contact customer service promptly with photos.

Rewards & membership explained

The Key Rewards covers eight brands: Williams Sonoma, Williams Sonoma Home, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Pottery Barn Teen, West Elm, Mark & Graham and Rejuvenation. As of September 2026:

Reward certificates are issued once you reach $10 in Silver rewards or $20 in Gold rewards, and they show up by email and in your dashboard. Because rewards pool across brands, buying bedding at West Elm and cookware at Williams Sonoma builds toward the same certificates.

Student, military, teacher & other discounts

We could not confirm a student, military, teacher or senior discount on westelm.com as of September 2026. Professionals can use West Elm Trade, and hospitality and office buyers can work with West Elm Contract and West Elm Work.

Price matching & price adjustments

We did not find a published price match or price adjustment policy on westelm.com. If something you bought recently goes on sale, contact customer service to ask; any adjustment is at the store's discretion.

Payment options

• Key Rewards Visa: 0% promo financing on purchases of $750 or more with 12 equal monthly payments.
• Affirm: West Elm offers a monthly payment plan through Affirm; terms are shown when you choose it at checkout.
• Key Rewards certificates: can be applied to eligible purchases.

When West Elm has its biggest sales

West Elm's sale section runs year-round, but bigger events usually line up with holiday weekends (Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day), Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and January clearance. Outdoor furniture tends to see end-of-season markdowns in late summer and early fall, and holiday decor is cheapest after the holidays.

A practical approach is to build a wish list early, then check the sale and outlet sections each week. Popular sofas, rugs and lighting in common sizes and colors tend to sell out first during big events, while less common finishes often stay available longer and can see deeper markdowns later. If you are furnishing a whole room, consider buying the large pieces during a major sale and filling in smaller decor from the under-$20 sections, where prices are already low. Keep an eye on your Key Rewards dashboard too, since a certificate arriving right before a sale lets you stack both savings on the same order.
